We've had a busy start to 2013 in the Globe Lab. Our Knight Mozilla grant to foster collaboration with the MIT Civic Media Lab and other local colleges and university has kicked in and we're excited about some of the collaborations (like Mapping the Globe) that are underway.

We're pleased to welcome some new faces as well -- Daniel McLaughlin, Adrienne Debigare and Knight Mozilla fellow Sonya Song. They join Chris Marstall as the core Globe Lab team and are responsible for our recent work exploring two things that Bostonians are highly interested in: finding places to eat, and the weather.

This team is focused on two year-long goals: collaboration with colleges and universities in Boston and exploring and expanding on the trends in mobile, social and visual storytelling.
